Temporary IT Generalist

The IT Support Center is currently seeking a Temporary It Generalist to join their team of professionals.

Duties include:

• Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of computer-based information systems.
• Installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and modifies computer and network system software.
• Follows standard principles and procedures and uses appropriate terminology associated with the assigned functional field.
• Participates as a team member in a collaborative environment within a large workforce.
• Contributes to completion of team goals and assigned tasks.
• Follows recommended approach to assigned work to facilitate achievement of desired results.
• Works under direct and frequent supervision while performing routine duties using established procedures with detailed instructions; work is often checked for accuracy.
• Assists with the implementation of projects.
• Assists with training new student personnel.
• Use computer management software to provide in-person and remote support as well as log service calls and update service requests for faculty and staff.

High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in the field; or technical certification or associated degree.

Temporary

As a temporary employee, you will not be eligible to participate in all employee benefit programs (e.g., paid leave, retirement, or tuition reimbursement).

Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), a temporary employee who works on average 30 hours or more per week may be eligible to enroll in health care benefits. As a temporary employee, you are also eligible to enroll in supplemental plans (e.g. dental, vision,) which requires full payment on your part.
