Overview

Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery, L&D) Night (Overnight) Shift, Full-Time. Our client seeks a dedicated and experienced RN to join the Labor & Delivery (L&D) team for a full-time night shift in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a clinically strong, compassionate nurse who supports mothers and newborns during critical moments of care and is comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts.

Base pay

$105,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Provide intrapartum and postpartum care.
  • Monitor fetal status and perform fetal monitoring / electronic fetal monitoring (EFM).
  • Triage and maternal-fetal assessment; respond to emergencies during labor and delivery.
  • Support mothers and families with education and newborn care; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Document care in electronic medical records and maintain accurate clinical charts.
  • Maintain patient safety and quality of care during 12-hour night shifts.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current California Registered Nurse license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (required upon hire)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (required upon hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • National certification in Labor and Delivery or a closely related specialty (preferred)
  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course (preferred)
  • Recent experience in an acute care or hospital setting
  • Prior independent RN experience in Labor and Delivery (beyond orientation) is a plus
