Job Title: Urology RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Urology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 3 years of clinical experience preferred License: Current nursing license in the state of Iowa Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited RN program or LPN Experience in acute or ambulatory care setting preferred Experience in acute care and/or home health nursing for cardiac or diabetic patients or prior phone triage, ER triage, or MD office triage preferred Strong nursing process skills and patient service drive Positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and engaging personality Organized, able to set priorities, and work effectively under pressure with minimum supervision Ability to work well as a team member Ability to think, converse, and type simultaneously while utilizing excellent telephone communication skills Customer-focused interpersonal relationship skills Basic PC skills and comfort with Windows Operating Systems Membership in a professional organization or certification in a specialty is highly desired Description: This position is primarily responsible for working as a clinic RN. Maintaining clinic flow for patients and providers is essential. This position will serve as nursing coverage in the urology clinic. The RN will assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, phone calls, treatments, and procedures as performed within a clinic setting under the direction of the provider. Responsibilities include maintaining patient medical records and documentation. Collection and preparation of specimens are required. Administration of medications as ordered by the provider is necessary.
