About the job Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

We're in a fast-paced industry, and our support team is no exception. This Staff Accountant position will assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the accounting close and reporting process and will be responsible for ensuring timely payments to vendors and maintaining accurate financial records. Our ideal detail-oriented and motivated team candidate will have strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of accounting principles with the ability to be accurate and timely.

  • Primarily responsible for ownership over the accounts payable process, enhancement of the accounts payable process, and assisting with closing the books and records for month end, quarter-end, and year-end
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries to document business transactions, inputs journals into accounting system and prepare for month-end close
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including checks and ACH payments
  • Reconcile monthly credit card transactions
  • Review GL coding and cost center assignment to ensure correct management reporting
  • Analyze respective p/l accounts for unusual fluctuations
  • Conduct timely and accurate bank reconciliations
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable teams to ensure overall accounting needs are met
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting role
  • Knowledge of US GAAP regulations
  • Experience with ERP software, (Oracle NetSuite preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis in Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables)
