This is a full-time industrial level auto-mechanic position, responsible for performing maintenance, running diagnostics and repairing our medium to heavy duty diesel trucks and trailers. You will inspect fleet vehicles, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and play a crucial role in keeping our trucks safe and on the road

Pay: $33.00/HR
Responsibilities:
- Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
- Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules.
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or GED) required
- ASE Certified Diesel Mechanic preferred
- 2+ years diagnostic, maintenance and repair of Class 7 & 8 diesel trucks and trailers required
- Own set of tool set and understanding the best practice for how to use required tools
Base pay rate is $33.00 per hour. Pay offered will depend on candidate's geographic location, prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, & abilities.
Employees and families offered Medical, Dental, Vision; union pension with employer contributions; Sick pay awarded at 1 hour per 40 hours work, annually 7 paid holidays plus up to 2 floating holidays; Vacation of 40 hours available next calendar year; Eligible for paid Bereavement and Jury Duty.
