Overview
Imagine a career that intertwines purpose with passion - a journey where you can give a voice to those in need. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the lively atmosphere of Arlington, your work surpasses treating communication and swallowing challenges; it is about unlocking dreams, fostering relationships, and empowering lives-from the enthusiastic laughter of children crafting their first sentences to the inspiring resilience of elders regaining their voices.
This position offers a rich tapestry of experiences enabling you to serve diverse age groups within an ingenious combination of outpatient therapy and occasional inpatient assistance. If your heart beats for pediatric speech development, adult neurogenic communication rehabilitation, or geriatric cognitive-linguistic therapy, you will find purpose and flexibility within our integrated team.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Design customized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term goals in communication, cognitive abilities, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy to enhance communication abilities-covering language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
- Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish a holistic care approach.
- Provide guidance and education for patients and families to support independent progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Assist with select inpatient speech therapy assessments and treatments to guarantee seamless continuity of care.
- Ensure precise and prompt documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Remain current with advancements in speech therapy through ongoing education and collaborative relationships with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) by ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment strategies for a spectrum of ages, underpinned by a thorough comprehension of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication abilities both relationally with patients and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Capability to tailor therapy methods to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic circumstances.
- Strong clinical insight coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and meticulous documentation protocols.
- Attractive salary reflective of experience.
- Flexible arrangements ensuring a healthy work-life synergy and varied caseloads.
- Opportunities to further specialize in pediatric care, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric services.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday compensation.
- Access to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options.
- Financial support for continuing education and commitment to your professional development.
- A collaborative workspace where teamwork is prioritized and meaningful care thrives.
Charting a Career Path That Matters
In this role, you will not only offer crucial speech therapy services-you will integrate into a mission-driven community focused on restoring vitality through communication, enriching the human experience, and creating heartfelt connections through simple yet profound actions: listening and being heard.
Your colleagues will be as supportive as family, cultivating an atmosphere where collaboration flourishes over competition. Each patient brings a unique narrative; your expertise will guide them in sharing their stories authentically.

Whatever drives your passion, if you are ready to serve with compassion while honing your skills, we are eager to embrace you into our team.
