Description

Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineering Leader to support the Advanced Battle Management System's (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure Network Manager program (DINM), located in our Orlando, FL office. In this critical mission, you'll assist the Department of the Air Force (DAF) in designing, fielding, and operating the ABMS Digital Infrastructure Network.

The ABMS is a vital modernization effort for the DAF, serving as a cornerstone for a network-centric approach to battle management. This endeavor aligns with the broader Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiative, enabling U.S. forces and allies to efficiently interpret and act upon extensive data flows, outpacing adversaries.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Program's Lead Network Engineering Team representative, providing vision, direction, training, and task assignments for team members.

  • Deliver Network Engineering support for the design, documentation, implementation, maintenance, and operation of an evolving network architecture.

  • Manage Tier 3 issue resolution efforts, including the development and approval of engineering changes.

  • Offer cross-discipline training and mentoring to all team personnel.

  • Oversee the SD-WAN architecture, ensuring operational and security updates are implemented.

  • Lead deployment planning and coordination for network system upgrades at various field sites, both CONUS and OCONUS as needed.

  • Collaborate with the Tier 2 C2NSOC DI-Network Manager Team Lead for effective issue coordination and escalation.

  • Provide briefings and regular status updates to Program leadership regarding DI-Network efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with 12 - 15 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10 - 13 years of relevant experience.

  • Must have a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical staff on cross-functional teams, positively impacting project outcomes.

  • Proven ability to influence the development of solutions that align with strategic goals and business results, and to propose new technical solutions or standards.

  • In-depth knowledge of network engineering, network architecture, and network automation methodologies and tools (Ansible, scripting, coding).

  • Experience in configuring, activating, testing, analyzing, and troubleshooting network systems.

  • Strong communication, team-building, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with ABMS, JADC2 initiatives, or other U.S. Air Force customer programs.

  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, relevant experience, and/or certifications (Juniper or Cisco).

  • Familiarity with Linux systems administration.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with Commercial Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS) and DevOps tools.

  • Insight into Cyber methodologies.

  • Current and Active TS/SCI clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00

The Leidos pay range for this position is intended as a guideline, and various factors will be considered when extending an offer, including job responsibilities, education, experience, and market alignment.
