Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Entry-Level Dentist to join our dental practice in New Bedford, MA.
  • This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent dental school graduate or a dentist with limited experience to build clinical skills, gain valuable mentorship, and make a positive impact on the oral health of our community.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
  • Provide comprehensive dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients of all ages.
  • Perform routine dental procedures, including prophylaxis, restorations, extractions, and endodontic therapy, with emphasis on preventive and conservative care.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care measures, and treatment options to promote optimal oral health outcomes.
Clinical Excellence:
  • Uphold high standards of clinical excellence, infection control, and patient safety in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Stay current with advancements in dental technology, materials, and techniques through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with experienced dentists and specialists within the practice to enhance clinical skills and expand clinical capabilities.
Patient Communication and Education:
  • Establish rapport and build trust with patients by listening to their concerns, addressing questions, and explaining treatment plans in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Empower patients to take an active role in their oral health by providing personalized education and guidance on preventive care strategies, lifestyle modifications, and treatment outcomes.
  • Foster long-term patient relationships and loyalty through exceptional customer service, empathy, and professionalism.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, front office staff, and other members of the dental team to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and interdisciplinary consultations to promote continuity of care and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment characterized by mutual respect, open communication, and shared commitment to practice goals and values.
Practice Growth and Development:
  • Actively participate in practice marketing initiatives, community outreach events, and patient retention strategies to attract new patients and retain existing ones.
  • Contribute to practice growth and profitability by achieving productivity targets, maintaining schedule efficiency, and minimizing appointment cancellations and no-shows.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements, service enhancements, and operational efficiencies to optimize practice performance and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Completion of residency program or internship preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of general dentistry principles, procedures, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively explain complex dental concepts to patients in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Compassionate bedside manner, with a genuine desire to provide patient-centered care and improve the oral health and overall well-being of patients.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning, professional growth, and continuing education in dentistry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to the needs and dynamics of a busy dental practice.
