Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead process optimization and drive operational excellence within our manufacturing work cells. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality production outcomes, advancing continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting cross-functional collaboration to enhance manufacturing performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and coordinate all process activities to ensure optimal product quality within the assigned work cell.

  • Develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including routers, Technical Support Documents (TSDs), and standard work instructions.

  • Design and implement tooling solutions that support production efficiency and product consistency.

  • Create and refine cell layouts to improve flow, safety, and productivity.

  • Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, planning, and other internal partners to maintain product quality and process alignment.

  • Investigate internal and external quality issues; lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to identify root causes and implement robust, permanent corrective actions.

  • Drive continuous improvement through effective monitoring and enhancement of key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Apply CBS (Crosby, or your organization’s continuous improvement system) tools to support ongoing operational excellence initiatives.

  • Support the training and development of team members involved in process implementation and sustainment.

  • Identify and implement innovative process controls to enhance product quality and reduce variation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial).

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high mix low volume manufacturing environment.

  • Proficient using Office365 applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.

  • Functional knowledge of tool design using Solid Works a plus.

  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and applying structured problem-solving tools preferred.
