Delivery Associate

Join our team as a Delivery Associate where you'll engage with wholesale and retail customers, understand their needs, and recommend Sherwin-Williams products tailored to their requirements. In this position, you will be responsible for efficiently delivering products from Sherwin-Williams stores in Company vans or pick-up trucks, ensuring a safe and timely service.

This role involves customer interaction, including minors, and you will have access to various payment methods, store merchandise, and personal information. Hence, a criminal history review is essential to maintain the safety and integrity of our operations and protect our customers and community.

You will operate within a 10-mile radius of store #5175, located at: 1704 Old Country Road, Riverhead, NY 11901.

• Ensure high customer satisfaction through exceptional sales service.
• Assist customers in-person and over the phone by identifying their needs and providing relevant products and services.
• Process sales transactions accurately according to company policies.

• Maintain accurate work order files and formulas.
• Retrieve appropriate products from the sales area or warehouse.
• Prepare custom-tinted products as required.
• Safely load, transport, and deliver items to customers.
• Help with loading and unloading products from vehicles.
• Maintain the store vehicle and report any necessary repairs to your supervisor.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules diligently.
• Comply with legal traffic regulations and safety protocols while driving.
• Prepare relevant delivery reports and documents.
• Operate vehicles and machinery safely, including trucks and forklifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship.
• Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 70 lbs occasionally, with or without accommodation.
• Availability to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A High School diploma or GED is desirable.
• At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
• Previous experience selling paint and related products is a plus.
• Ability to communicate in more than one language is advantageous.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
