Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is seeking qualified Locum Nurse Practitioners specializing in General Medicine to provide essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. This is a vital role where your expertise directly supports our nation's heroes while offering flexible, rewarding work opportunities. Overview This immediate opening offers flexible PRN (as-needed) days, primarily on days shifts, with the chance to contribute on an ongoing basis. You will conduct interview-based examinations, including physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, without prescribing or delivering treatment. Providers must own their own offices within a 50-mile radius of Lincoln, NH, and Lebanon, NH, providing services on a part-time basis-either half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours)-with competitive flat-rate compensation. This role is ideal for experienced general medicine professionals looking to support veterans while enjoying flexible schedules and a straightforward onboarding process. Required Skills Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification in your state Proven experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or a related general medicine field Ability to perform physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing Strong interview and communication skills for interview-based exams Reliable access to your own office within the specified geographic area Ability to perform quick credentialing and onboarding processes Nice to Have Skills Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or military health assessments Familiarity with veterans' health care procedures and requirements Additional certifications or training related to military or veterans' health assessments Preferred Education and Experience A minimum of a master's degree in nursing and current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner At least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in family or internal medicine Previous experience performing exams in a non-treatment, interview-based setting is advantageous Other Requirements Own a suitable office space within a 50-mile radius of designated locations Availability on scheduled days (minimum 1 day per week at each location) Willingness to complete required training and perform initial exams to qualify for bonuses Excellent organizational skills to manage administrative follow-up tasks such as report submissions and addendums This opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $402.00, with additional bonuses for completing initial training ($650) and ongoing assessments.
