Overview
Imagine a career where you contribute to a mission that gives voice to individuals - a place where your role as a Speech Language Pathologist brims with purpose. In the lively heart of Sacramento, your responsibilities will extend well beyond rehabilitating communication and swallowing challenges; you will ignite potential, restore the self-assurance of your patients, and cultivate genuine connections, whether you're guiding toddlers as they articulate their first words or supporting seniors as they regain their everyday independence.
This role presents a rare chance to work with a diverse demographic in a practice environment that expertly marries outpatient therapy with intermittent inpatient care. If you have a passion for nurturing young minds through language development, assisting adults facing neurogenic communication hurdles, or embracing the world of geriatric cognitive rehabilitation, you will discover a realm of fulfillment and adaptability here.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
- Create customized treatment strategies that reflect both immediate goals and long-lasting communication or swallowing improvements.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions covering language, fluency, voice, and swallowing domains.
- Engage in collaborative practices with physical therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, caregivers, and families to establish a unified approach to care.
- Provide education for patients and their families to ensure support continues outside the clinic environment.
- Involve in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, maintaining a seamless care trajectory for patients.
- Document thoroughly and accurately in compliance with organizational as well as state and federal regulations.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and peer-to-peer sharing.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited institution.
- Fulfillment of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within 30 days of employment.
- Expert proficiency in evidence-based interventions across all ages, backed by a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired language, speech, and swallowing issues.
- Exceptional communication skills that facilitate connection with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Flexibility to modify therapy methods to cater to an array of cultural and linguistic requirements.
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-resolution abilities.
- Proficient use of electronic medical records and documentation practices.
- A competitive salary that aligns with your experience.
- Flexible work schedules promoting an ideal work-life balance.
- Chances to specialize in pediatric, adult neuro-rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy.
- Paid time off (PTO) and holiday benefits.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance packages.
- Financial assistance for continuing education and support for professional growth.
- A supportive team environment centered around quality care and ongoing learning.
Shape Lives Through Your Role - A Journey Awaits
In this position, your role transcends traditional speech therapy; you enter a mission-driven culture that aspires to rejuvenate voices, enhance communication abilities, and create joyful moments through fundamental acts of understanding.
Working alongside colleagues who feel like family, you'll engage in a collaborative atmosphere that champions teamwork over rivalry. Every patient carries a unique narrative; your stewardship will help guide their stories toward expression.

Are You the One We Seek?
We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who embodies not only skill but also compassion. Someone who perceives a timid child and imagines the beauty of self-expression; who perceives the stumbling words of a stroke survivor and sees fortitude.
You might be a pediatric-focused clinician eager to branch out into adult services - or possibly a neurogenic specialist keen on weaving early intervention strategies into your work. Whatever your motivation, if you're prepared to serve with heart, we are eager to have you join our community.
Let's Craft a Story of Communication - Together
If you understand that speech is a gateway to connection and that therapy fosters trust and joy, perhaps this position will be the next chapter of your compelling career.
