As an Associate Market Medical Director, you will play a key role in supervising, managing, and training other Clinical Directors in your market. You will be accountable for achieving center performance objectives, profit and loss management, growth, and fostering an exceptional workplace culture. This role includes a blend of direct patient care as a Primary Care Physician (PCP) and essential leadership responsibilities that enhance clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage the performance of Medical Directors across various centers, ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes.
- Oversee daily clinical operations to exceed market earnings targets.
- Mentor and develop Medical Directors, fostering talent growth among PCPs and Nurse Practitioners (NPs).
- Cultivate a culture aligned with ChenMed's core values and service standards.
- Assist in training new practitioners and support talent acquisition efforts.
- Build fruitful relationships with payers, specialists, and community partners.
- Address workplace concerns promptly to maintain a positive market culture.
- Provide backup for market referrals and manage utilization authorizations.
In addition to these responsibilities, you'll contribute to quality improvement initiatives and play a crucial role in ongoing clinical metric analysis. You will also maintain a patient panel, providing exceptional care as a PCP.
Skills and Experience Required:- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in relevant specialties.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; 3 years preferred.
- Experience in a leadership role within a Medicare or Medicaid context is strongly preferred.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related field is ideal.
- Active medical license in the state of practice.
- Proven ability to manage a substantial patient panel effectively.
