Without the strength of our manufacturing team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we're known for. We're seeking an experienced Machinist to work in the manufacturing shop. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Machinist.

The CNC Machinist will be expected to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the setup, operation and care of HAAS CNC lathes. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to perform the following:
  • Verify your own work using, Micrometers and Gages, Height gage and Caliper
  • Multi-task, take initiative, and communicate clearly with your team and management
  • Composite experience is a plus
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a requirement, in the aerospace industry is a plus

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • None
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operates and maintains CNC lathe/milling machines.
  • Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
  • Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping using standard SMI, calipers, mics, and height gages.
  • Set up jobs and select appropriate settings for a given task.
  • Read and understand sketches, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Follows traveler steps to complete the assignment.
  • Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary and verifying results
  • Maintains inventory of completed products.
  • Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
  • Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Work independently as required.
  • Safely performs tasks, follows applicable safety practices, policies, and safe work behavior.
  • Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Experience operating CNC mills/lathes is required
  • Conventional machining experience is a plus
  • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Current or active security clearance is a plus
  • Proficient in math
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understand GD&T
  • Machining training is a plus
  • Experience on HASS equipment is a plus
  • MasterCam experience is a plus
  • Machine setup and Programming is a plus
  • Ability to read, speak and write in English.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED
SECURITY CLEARANCE

Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
  • Constant standing/walking for at least 8 hours.
  • Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required.
  • Holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s).
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery alarms).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • No travel is required for this position
