About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in California starting Nov 10, 2025. This opportunity involves day shifts, Monday through Friday, serving a diverse patient population with a high percentage of Spanish-speaking individuals and Medicaid recipients. Candidates must have recent Family Practice experience and hold an active CA DEA with furnishing license.

Job Details

• Location: California
• Start Date: Nov 10, 2025
• LOA: 60 days
• Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician Assistant
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive care to a predominantly adult patient population in a Family Practice setting
• Deliver care to a patient base where 75 percent are Spanish speaking, utilizing translators and Spanish-speaking medical assistants as needed
• Manage a high proportion of Medical/Medicaid cases
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Collaborate effectively with clinic staff to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Uphold all regulatory and clinical standards consistent with Family Practice guidelines

Additional Information

• Locum experience is required
• Experience in FQHC, Rural Health, or IHS settings is strongly preferred
• Must possess active California license and current DEA with furnishing license
• Board certification in Family Medicine is required
• Only candidates with recent Family Practice experience will be considered (IM or Pediatrics experience alone is not sufficient)
