Medical Assistant Lead

Responsible for providing clinical and administrative leadership to the non-physician clinical staff assuring compliance with workflows, policies and procedures.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Provides front and/or back office support.
- Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared.
- Interviews patient, measures vital signs and records reason for visit.
- Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication.
- Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payments, and ensuring paperwork is complete.
- Schedules and confirms patient's appointments.
- Reconciles co-payments daily.
- Participates in the interviewing process for new hires and training of new associates.
- Conducts monthly staff meetings.
- Implements clinical policies and procedures.
- Requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) may be required.
- Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
Compensation: $18.97/hr. - $23.71/hr. & bonus eligible
