Job Description:

  • Provide an exceptional customer experience to all patients and customers.

  • Efficiently handle sales transactions at the cash register with courtesy and professionalism.

  • Support the pharmacist under direct supervision in various pharmacy tasks, including using pharmacy systems to access patient and drug information.

Customer Experience

  • Engage with customers by greeting them warmly and offering assistance with products and services to ensure a positive experience.

  • Promote best practices in customer service with your team, emphasizing the importance of kindness, courtesy, and proactive assistance.

Operations

  • Deliver prompt and friendly service to customers.

  • Proactively recommend products and companion items to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Accurately process sales transactions, manage cash handling, and assist in locating products in-store.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters and shelves, while managing inventory and records.

  • Perform various pharmacy-related duties as assigned, including entering patient information and assisting in prescription filling.

  • Immediately report any prescription errors to the supervising pharmacist and comply with all company policies regarding pharmacy practices.

  • Handle telephone inquiries that do not need pharmacist attention, ensuring clear communication and timely responses.

  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and unpacking shipments of pharmaceutical products, while ensuring proper protocols are followed.

  • Comply with all state and local laws regarding the sale of regulated products.

  • Assist in arranging promotional and seasonal displays, and ensure compliance with inventory rotation practices.

  • Provide customer service in the photo area, assisting with services and promoting photo products.

  • Oversee web pick-up orders, ensuring timely fulfillment for customers.

  • Keep the store clean and welcoming for all customers.

  • Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers and follow company policies.

  • Complete special tasks and assignments as needed.

Training & Personal Development

  • Obtain and maintain PTCB certification and other necessary training as required.

  • Engage in training sessions and continuing education to stay updated with the latest pharmacy practices and healthcare developments.

External Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

  • Familiarity with Walgreens preferred.

  • Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling are an asset.

  • Good computer skills are advantageous.

  • Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.

  • PTCB certification is a plus.
