TREASURY SPECIALIST

As a Treasury Specialist at FMH, you will support crop operations as it relates to finances. This candidate will provide frontline support for agents, insureds, and internal business units regarding a range of treasury-related items.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience: One to three or more of accounting/finance-related experience.
  • Education: Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel. Experience with accounting software systems is a plus. Understanding of basic accounting and treasury management functions (debits, credits, premiums receivable, property and casualty insurance, reconciliations, commissions, and bank functions) is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides excellent customer service to the crop agency force, insureds, and internal business units by answering questions and concerns related to commissions, billing information, premiums posted, 1099s, and other financial policy information.
  • Answers emails, phone calls, and instant messages from internal business units about financial policy information along with external inquiries from agents and insureds.
  • Prepares and organizes bank deposits to take to the bank.
  • Prepares and processes premium spreadsheets to enter in the general ledger.
  • Collects and posts premium payments taken over the phone for the crop division.
  • Assists in processing all incoming cash from bank files.
  • Performs various back-up duties for Treasury and Accounting staff.
  • Learns the Multi-Peril (MPCI), Livestock, and Private Product lines of business. Understands and applies knowledge of how all internal systems consume and deliver this information.
