The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative represents the face of the organization to patients seeking routine testing or life-defining health insights. This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and creating an atmosphere of trust while ensuring accuracy, safety, and adherence to established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following defined procedures.
- Maintain required documentation and records.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience required.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric specimen collection.
- Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).
- Phlebotomy (pediatric, geriatric, clinical, forensic)
