Thompson Palm Springs is currently recruitingfor an experienced Assistant Director of Engineering tojoin the hotel’s Engineering team.

The Assistant Director of Engineering plays a vital role inmaintainingand enhancing the physical infrastructure and systems.This positionassiststhe Director of Engineering in overseeing the engineering and maintenance department, ensuring that the hotel's facilities are inoptimalcondition and that safety and environmental standards are met.Additional duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

· Assistin managing and leading the engineering and maintenance team,providingguidance, support, and mentorship to ensure exceptional performance and development.

· Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to set departmental goals,objectives, and performance metrics.

· Oversee the maintenance and repair of the hotel's physical assets, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other equipment.

· Conduct regular inspections toidentifymaintenance needs and ensure a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

· Assistin planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance and renovation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to guest services.

· Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

· Implement andmaintainpreventive maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and systems.

· Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers toprocurematerials and services for maintenance and repairs.

· Respond promptly to emergencies and ensure the safety of guests and staff during critical situations.

This is anexempt(salaried) role. The budgeted salary range for this position is $68,640 to $96,400 and eligible for quarterly earned incentives.This is the pay range for this position that Thompson Palm Springsreasonably expectstopay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based ona number offactors includingexperienceand education.

· A minimum of 4years'building maintenance experience isrequired, with hotel experience preferred.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

· Excellent project management and organizational skills.

· Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues.

· Strong communicationand interpersonal skills.
