Our client is a well-established public accounting firm recognized for delivering exceptional tax and advisory services to a diverse client base. With a reputation for excellence, collaboration, and integrity, they are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their growing team.
Position Overview

The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role within the firm's tax department, overseeing complex tax engagements, managing client relationships, and guiding a team of professionals. This is a full-time position offering career growth, a collaborative work environment, and outstanding benefits-including a sign-on bonus and year-end performance bonus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
  • Conduct detailed tax research and provide strategic recommendations to clients
  • Identify and implement proactive tax-saving strategies
  • Oversee estimated tax payments, projections, and extensions
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing responsive, high-quality service
  • Mentor, train, and review the work of junior staff and seniors
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends
  • Participate in client meetings and tax planning discussions
  • Manage client engagements from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver integrated financial services
  • Prepare or review tax provision calculations and financial statement disclosures
  • Respond to IRS and state taxing authority inquiries
  • Contribute to quality control initiatives and continuous process improvement
  • Participate in networking and business development opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Active CPA license required
  • Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax preparation, planning, and review
  • Proficiency in tax software
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax laws
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax research tools
