Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Rutherford, NJ
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $20/Hour, DOE
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid / 1 day remote
Hours: 8a-4:45p, M-F
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders via phone, email, fax, and mail and ensure timely delivery
- Arrange and expedite product shipments and provide order status updates
- Act as a liaison between customers, sales, and plant personnel to resolve issues
- Respond to customer inquiries and handle concerns in a professional manner
- Coordinate returns, credits, debits, and related documentation
- Work with Accounts Receivable to resolve billing, payment, and invoice issues
- Promote customer satisfaction by following established policies and procedures
- Support sales initiatives and encourage use of system-based ordering
- Communicate customer issues to management as needed
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, order entry systems, and email
- Ability to handle difficult customers and stressful situations professionally
- SAP experience a plus
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
