Daily Responsibilities Include:
  • Assisting in surgical procedures by meticulously preparing and organizing the operating room
  • Ensuring sterile fields are maintained and strictly adhering to infection control protocols
  • Efficiently handing instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants
  • Preparing and managing surgical equipment thoroughly before, during, and after procedures
  • Monitoring supplies to guarantee readiness for every operation
  • Collaborating effectively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical personnel for seamless patient care
  • Documenting accurate surgical counts and maintaining detailed records
Educational Background:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is necessary
Certification Requirements:
  • A current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential is a must
  • BLS certification (or the capability to obtain this within 90 days of employment)
Essential Skills and Attributes:
