Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our dedicated team.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position involves performing x-ray tests with a strong understanding of body mechanics, anatomy, and physiology. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop films, and prepare the procedure room with the necessary equipment and supplies. Additionally, you will perform Medical Assistant duties as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Promptly greet patients in the waiting area, exam room, and x-ray room.
  • Communicate wait times effectively and provide guidance for the next steps in the treatment process.
  • Address patient concerns and seek assistance in emergency situations.
  • Execute follow-up calls with urgency.
  • Assist front desk staff with patient check-in/out when necessary.
  • Accurately document patient vital signs, history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent information.
  • Facilitate patient transfers.
  • Assist with procedures under the supervision of a provider.
  • Complete required documentation related to patient visits diligently.
  • Perform radiology procedures timely for evaluation and treatment by physicians.
  • Conduct quality control procedures to ensure high-quality exams.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to safety guidelines including radiation protection.
  • Ensure equipment is operational and report any issues to the Manager or provider on duty.
  • Maintain and enhance your diagnostic imaging skills with external educational resources.
  • Keep current with licensure and certification required for radiology equipment.

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour per week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled as needed.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification
AR State X-Ray License
Preferred: ARRT Certification
Preferred: Experience as a Medical Assistant
