About the Role:

As a vital member of our patient care team, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care tailored to departmental requirements and standards. Your responsibilities will include performing diagnostic tests, administering therapies, and monitoring patients on both invasive and noninvasive ventilation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including breath sounds and airway patency.
  • Administer therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol medication.
  • Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for responses to therapy and respond swiftly to any adverse situations.
  • Support the safe transportation of patients requiring ventilatory assistance.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support should be obtained within 6 months of starting.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of starting.
  • Neonate Resuscitation and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications within 6 months of starting.
  • Associate Degree required.
  • Must hold (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist or state certification as Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.
  • 1 year of relevant experience is required.

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital features 404 beds and is an accredited Level II Trauma Center. We provide a wide range of services including Emergency Care, Pediatric ER, and Neonatal Intensive Care. Located centrally, we are easily accessible to communities like Orlando, St. Cloud, Celebration, and Poinciana.
