A Day in the Life of a Facilities Associate

At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel is the center of all we do We start each day with a time of devotion and spend time praying for each other and our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

In the role of Facilities Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Follows daily assignments regarding the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Assist other technicians with painting, preventative maintenance, light plumbing, grounds care, and outdoor equipment maintenance.
• Keeps accurate records for maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
• Reviews daily work lists with the Maintenance Supervisor at the end of each workday. Reviews routine communications throughout the day.
• Develops and improves skills in all aspects of building maintenance through participation in approved training sessions.
• Maintains a safe work environment. Performs all work in a safe manner and follows all associated safety guidelines.
• Remove snow safely. May operate snow removal equipment.
• Loads and unloads various equipment and supplies. Maintains a good driving record and a valid North Carolina driver's license.

Qualifications & Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school and three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Carpentry and plumbing experience preferred. Able to lift up to 50lbs as needed.

Job Location: North Wilkesboro, NC

Type: Temporary Full-Time/Associate - 3 months

Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am 4:30pm

We believe Gods plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between males and females as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and the ministry of evangelism. Matthew 9:35-38; 22:37-39, 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10; Colossians 2:6-10; 1 Peter 3:15.

We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen. Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10.

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person biological male or female. These two distinct but complementary sexes together reflect the image and likeness of God.
