Travel Histotechnologist - Histology Lab
Location: Atlanta, GA
Start Date: 12/15/2025
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days, variable schedule (3:00a-11:30a)
Hours: 40 guaranteed/week
On Call: None

Description:
A hospital in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Travel Histotechnologist for a 13-week assignment in the Histology Lab. The technologist will perform routine and specialized histologic procedures, ensuring accurate specimen preparation and high-quality slide production.

Details:

  • Unit: Histology Lab

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years within specialty required

  • Certifications:

    • ASCP certification (required)

  • Systems: Cerner

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and accession surgical specimens

  • Process tissue, embed, cut, and stain slides

  • Collaborate with pathology, cytology, and IHC staff

  • Maintain laboratory quality and safety standards

Requirements:

  • ASCP certification

  • Strong knowledge of histologic techniques and lab safety

  • Experience with Cerner and hospital-based histology labs preferred
