We have an exciting opportunity within our Front Office as a Front Desk Host.

Primary purpose of the Front Desk Host is to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the Front Desk to give the best guest experience.

What is expected of me in this role?

• Meets and greets guests and assists with registrations, check-in, check-out, and other benefits related to the World of Hyatt

• Ensures the strict control of room keys

• Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented

• Prepares welcome cards and keys for arrival and serve wine and other welcome beverages during check in. 

• Ensures accurate knowledge of hotels and the tourism in the city / country

• Reports “Lost and Found” items 

• Works closely with other Front Office personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests

• Verifies arrival and departure details and arranges luggage handling and transportation and other services requested by guests

• Ensures that guest history records are accurately maintained and all repeat guests are pre-registered

• Well versed in Hotel technology systems to facilitate smooth check in and check out experiences for our guests 

• Ensures that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to financial record keeping, money handling and licensing are adhered to, including the timely and accurate reporting of financial information.

• Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming. 

Skills and Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

• Previous front desk experience and a thorough understanding of hotel industry will be preferred. 

• Hours: Flexible; scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel, including mornings, afternoons, evening, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

The starting hourly rate for this role is $ 21.22 CAD per hour.
