Director of Wound Care for Skilled Nursing Services

Responsible for planning, organizing, developing anddirecting the wound, ostomy and continence program(s) for Skilled NursingServices in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, theorganization's established guidelines, and as may be directed by the SeniorVice President of Clinical Practice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Plans, organizes and directs wound, ostomy andcontinence services that meet patient and skilled nursing center needs andcoordinates such services with the skilled nursing center's Director of NursingServices
- Develops and directs the implementation ofwound, ostomy and continence program procedural guidelines
- Develops and participates in the planning,scheduling and conducting of timely education that provides instruction thatsupports the goal of well-educated treatment nurses
- Develops, implements and maintains an effectiveorientation program for newly hired treatment nurses that provides knowledge,expectations and confidence to be successful
- Provides leadership and guidance to regionalwound, ostomy and continence service nurses
- Performs other duties as necessary to ensure thesuccess of the System
- Registered Nurse licensure in Georgia or compactstate and certified in Wound Care Ostomy (WOCN)
- Minimum two (2) years experience as anEnterostomal Therapy Nurse in a hospital, skilled nursing center or otherrelated medical center
- Demonstrated competence in the performance ofwound care assessment and consulting
