License & Experience
We are currently searching for a Medical Office Manager. This position requires excellent leadership skills as well as the ability to multitask. Ideal candidates will enjoy working as part of a team environment, have a love of working with people, and have good organizational and communication skills. Experience in a medical setting is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Management: Hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating receptionists and other administrative personnel.
- Financial Oversight: Managing budgets, payroll, billing, insurance claims, collections, and deposits.
- Operational Efficiency: Developing and implementing office policies, procedures, and workflows; managing supplies; arranging maintenance.
- Patient Experience: Ensuring smooth patient registration, scheduling, handling complaints, and promoting satisfaction.
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and safety standards.
- Record Management: Organizing and maintaining patient and staff records, often using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Collaboration: Working with clinicians, billing departments, and executives to meet practice goals.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and coding.
- Proficiency with office software (EMR, scheduling, payroll).
- Understanding of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and manage budgets.
