Clinical Director of Specialty Services

General Physician, PC (GPPC) is a forward-thinking healthcare organization affiliated with Kaleida Health and the Erie County Medical Center. With 300+ providers across 11 specialties, we deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care throughout six counties in Western New York. Our teams support both acute and ambulatory settings. We are seeking a Director of Clinical Services to help lead the growth, performance, and operational excellence of several key service lines.

What you will be doing:

As the Director of Clinical Services, you will oversee the clinical, quality, and business operations for the following service lines: Pain Management, Post-Acute, GI, and Colorectal. You will guide the strategic direction, support practice growth and transformation, mentor leaders, and ensure high-quality, efficient patient care across all locations.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning, development, and oversight of operating and capital budgets; ensure financial performance across practices and service lines
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic plans, business development, and organizational goals; execute operational initiatives
• Collaborate on feasibility assessments for practice acquisitions, integrations, or separations; oversee onboarding and offboarding of physicians, APPs, and staff
• Mentor and develop Practice Managers through training, coaching, and performance support
• Oversee the creation, implementation, and revision of clinical, quality, and business policies and procedures
• Monitor and address issues related to patient experience, staffing, quality, access, workflows, equipment, and facilities; lead service line performance management
• Serve as a representative of GPPC with community partners, affiliated entities, regulatory agencies, payers, and other key stakeholders
• Enhance operational efficiency, service quality, cost containment, and patient satisfaction
• Model and promote exemplary customer service and patient-centered care
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior leadership

The education and experience you will need:
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or MHA strongly preferred
• 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare (ambulatory preferred), ideally within Pain, Post-Acute, GI, or Colorectal settings
• Demonstrated success in budget management, strategic planning, and operational optimization
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and physician engagement skills
• Proven ability to influence without authority across multidisciplinary teams
• Expertise in healthcare leadership, quality improvement, staff development, and service line operations
