The Cloud Secrets & Identity platform team is at the forefront of developing internal solutions that enable our engineering teams to securely operate in a multi-region, multi-cloud environment. We focus on creating automation, tools, and systems that simplify authentication, authorization, and secrets management for New Relic engineers.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain automation for cloud account provisioning and access, enhancing our internal authentication and authorization platform.
• Address issues related to secrets management across environments by designing and building new systems and tools, while promoting organization-wide adoption.
• Collaborate effectively with teams across various time zones, bringing emotional intelligence, curiosity, strong communication skills, and accountability to the role.

This Role Requires

• 5+ years of software engineering experience and proficiency with Go, Python, and/or Ruby.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in defining and implementing IAM strategies (RBAC policies, SSO, MFA, etc.) across various users and services.
• Familiarity with deploying services using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• A capacity for both independent and collaborative work across multiple teams, with a motivation to enhance service quality and capabilities.
• A passion for continuously learning new technologies and utilizing a range of DevOps tools.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with Kubernetes, particularly in securing access control or infrastructure.
• Multi-cloud or cloud migration experience.
• Expertise in Site Reliability, Security, or Production Operations.
• Strong capabilities in testing and monitoring production services.

The estimated base pay range for this role is $152,000 to $190,000 USD, and it includes eligibility for a corporate bonus plan. Compensation may vary based on job-related factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
