Summary
This position is designed to improve regional student performance and requires effective collaboration with ESC and school district personnel. The Clerk, Head Start Administration/Receptionist, is responsible for responding to telephone inquiries, routing calls, and relaying messages to Head Start site and administrative staff. This person also assists visitors in the reception area and directs them to events taking place in the conference center. Additionally, this position supports the timely completion of all clerical tasks assigned by the Assistant Director. Strong organizational, coordination, and task management skills are essential for this role.
Qualifications
The qualifying skills for this position are as follows:
- A high school diploma or equivalent;
- At least three (3) years of experience in the clerical or secretarial field;
- Experience using a multi-line telephone system;
- Proficiency in MS Office platforms;
- Strong skills in typing, word processing, filing, record maintenance, and transcribing correspondence, as well as other clerical tasks;
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish;
- Effective interpersonal skills;
- Or any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience as determined by the Executive Director.
