Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo Technician with RDCS or RCS certification and a minimum of 2 years' recent echocardiography experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a noninvasive cardiology unit performing echocardiogram studies
- Patient population includes adult cardiac patients requiring noninvasive assessment
- Utilize Epic EMR system for charting
- Typically scheduled for four 10-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- May be required to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Responsibilities include executing comprehensive and accurate echocardiogram studies
- Must maintain professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all interactions
- Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and time management skills are expected
- Flu vaccination is required with no religious or medical exemptions permitted
- Scrubs must be worn according to department policy
- Candidates residing within 60 miles will be considered local
- Paid parking may be required; public transportation and parking lots are available
- Proof of MA licensure is required prior to consideration
- Current RDCS or RCS certification required
- CPR/BLS certification required; AHA or ARC accepted
- Completion of an accredited non-invasive cardiovascular training program focused in echocardiography
- Minimum of 2 years' current registered echocardiography experience required
- Completion of an accredited course in arrhythmia detection
- MA license required if applicable; conditional licenses not accepted
- Demonstrated ability to perform quality echocardiogram studies independently and as part of a team
