Physician Assistant -Gastroenterology (Hospital-Based)Location: Jacksonville, FLEmployment Type: Full-Time, permanent positionPosition Summary:Join a dynamic gastroenterology team providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a hospital setting. This position offers the opportunity to work under physician supervision in a collaborative environment, helping manage a wide range of inpatient GI conditions. Ideal candidates will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable.Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical exams Develop and implement treatment plans in coordination with supervising physicians Prescribe medications and therapies per hospital and state regulations Provide pre- and post-operative care, including discharge planning and patient education Interpret and communicate diagnostic test results Participate in inpatient rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EHR Educate patients and families on conditions and treatment plans Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians and hospitalistsQualifications: Licensed Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in Florida EMR proficiency and strong written/verbal communication skills Flexible and adaptable work habits HIPAA compliance and understanding of patient privacy standards Commitment to ethical and professional standards of carePhysical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, and assist patients in movement Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally Normal hearing and vision required Manual dexterity for daily clinical tasksBenefits (Full-Time Only): Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with employer contribution and Profit Sharing Life and Disability Insurance (Short and Long-Term) Education and Tuition Reimbursement Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Initial Uniform Allowance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Supplemental Insurance Options
