Job Title: Admissions Representative (Salem Campus, On-Site only)

Reports To: Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of Admissions and/or Campus President

FLSA: Non-Exempt, Full time (40 hours)

JOB SUMMARY

The Admissions Representative is responsible for meeting or exceeding admissions metrics, maintaining the school database, and providing accurate information to prospective students; and performs related work as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Under direct supervision of the Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of Admissions or Campus President, the Admissions Representative is expected to:
  • Give honest and precise information to prospective students. In order to do that, the Admissions Representative must:
    1. Understand the school catalog and curriculum
    2. Know the school's rules, policies, and procedures
    3. Be willing to refer the student to the appropriate department (i.e. financial aid)
    4. Give campus tours
  • Meet or exceed the department metrics. Some of the ways to do that are:
    1. Follow contact strategy
    2. Follow up on all leads;
    3. Follow up on all interested clients who must wait to attend or cancel for any reason
  • Admissions Representatives are expected to enhance the marketing/advertising budget, not to solely rely on it by personally developing leads.
  • Maintain the admissions database as required.
  • Prepare, and obtain signatures from prospective students, on all admissions documents.
  • Monitor new student attendance for the first two weeks of class. Follow up with new students to assist in ensuring their comfort with their choice of institutions.
  • Contribute to the department ideas for marketing, promotions or advertisements.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-service sessions, student orientation, graduation, and other school events as required by the school.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
QUALIFICATIONS

College degree in marketing, business or related area preferred OR have a minimum of 2-years customer service experience and/or administrative support position, recruiting or sales; or any relevant combination of education and experience as determined by the Campus President.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

The Admissions Representative shall demonstrate experience and education commensurate with the responsibilities of the position. Generally, this includes: Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse customer base; Must be a competent administrator and a self-starter and have the ability to work with little supervision; Must also be a team player, willing to share and exchange information and ideas; Must have the ability to make ethical decisions, doing what is always best for the students as well as the Company.
