Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Springfield, VA (On-site 5 days/week)

Type: Full-time, Permanent Role

Responsibilities:
  • Automate and optimize service deployments: Streamline deployment processes for high-quality and cost-effective solutions.
  • Integration with enterprise authentication services: Implement and integrate authentication systems within enterprise environments.
  • System Monitoring and Security: Maintain and enhance system monitoring while adhering to established security protocols across development, test, and production systems.
  • Infrastructure Architecting: Design, build, and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructures supporting team and customer initiatives.
  • Maintenance and Improvement: Enhance existing infrastructure, administer production, staging, and development environments, and manage server logs and security incidents.
  • CI/CD and Configuration Management: Maintain and improve build and deployment processes using CI/CD tools, apply configuration management disciplines, and enforce best practices for security and reliability.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with various teams, ensure up-to-date documentation, and maintain operational readiness.
  • Operations Monitoring and Reporting: Analyze system performance, maintain service health metrics, and manage routine operational maintenance tasks.
  • Tech Stack Expertise: Utilize expertise in DevSecOps pipelines, containerization (Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift), microservice design, scripting languages (Python, Bash), network technologies, and infrastructure components.
Requirements:
  • Top Secret Clearance and IAT II Certification: Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph. Current DoD IAT II Level certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in DevOps, 3+ years in systems programming.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD), Kubernetes-based deployment (Gitlab, Helm), scripting languages (Python, Bash), network technologies, and infrastructure components.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience: 8+ years with a Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
  • Systems Programming: 3+ years of experience.
  • Tools Familiarity: Jira, Confluence, monitoring tools (Kibana, Grafana, Nagios).
