Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

Job Description
Provides safe, efficient, patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed provider and nurse in performing various medical assistant duties. This position will be front and back office focused charting patients for a general practice clinic. Must have MA Diploma and CPT Certificate
Responsibilities
- Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
- Resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
- Prepare itemized statements, bills, or invoices and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
- Operate typing, adding, calculating, or billing machines.
- Post stop-payment notices to prevent payment of protested checks.
- Verify signatures and required information on checks.
- Keep records of invoices and support documents.
- Rooming patients into exam room and preparing patient for appointment.
- Perform injections.
- Perform Blood Draws.
- Assisting physician with in house procedures.
Clinic environment with a very fast-paced atmosphere. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Medical
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $14.00/hr.
