We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated, and reliable employee to support operations in our rotational molding (rotomold) manufacturing facility. This role is performed in a consistently and extremely hot environment due to the nature of the manufacturing process.

As a Rotomold Inspector, you will inspect large-scale commercial and military rotationally molded parts to strict dimensional, structural, and aesthetic standards. Candidates should only apply if they are fully comfortable working in a physically demanding, extremely hot environment for a full 40-hour workweek.

Work Environment – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

  • This position requires working in extreme heat on a daily basis
  • The work area is not climate-controlled
  • Exposure to high temperatures is constant and unavoidable
  • You will be on your feet and physically active for the majority of your shift
  • This is not an occasional condition - heat exposure is part of the job every day

Applicants who are not comfortable working in extreme heat for extended periods should not apply.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of molded parts, purchased parts, and finished products according to defined criteria using standard physical and mechanical measurements
  • Evaluate mold integrity and cleanliness based on part defects
  • Accurately document inspection and testing results
  • Maintain controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration
  • Assist in performing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists
  • Assist in defining Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) characteristics
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective actions
  • Work closely with production management to provide feedback regarding inspection accuracy and procedures

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of QA/QC experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in extreme heat for 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
  • Manual dexterity required - must be able to stand, kneel, squat, reach, push, pull, climb, and use hand tools without restriction
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • Required to work in outdoor and non-climate-controlled industrial environments
  • Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
  • Working knowledge of basic measurement instruments required
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings required
  • Experience with rotomold or plastic molding processes preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
