Qualifications
- 5+ years of trusts and estates paralegal experience
- ABA approved Paralegal Certificate required
- Notary Public preferred
- Strong knowledge of California Probate Code and trust administration
- Estate tax return experience preferred
- Skilled drafting, writing, and communication abilities
- Familiar with practice management and e-filing systems
- Able to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work independently
- Assist attorneys with trust and estate administration
- Draft estate planning documents, petitions, accountings, and court filings
- Prepare calculations and spreadsheets for planning matters
- Participate in client meetings
- Maintain case files and track deadlines
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties
- Gather financial and tax-related information
- Conduct research, proofread documents, manage signatures, and handle e-filing
- Maintain confidentiality and support document routing
