Qualifications

  • 5+ years of trusts and estates paralegal experience
  • ABA approved Paralegal Certificate required
  • Notary Public preferred
  • Strong knowledge of California Probate Code and trust administration
  • Estate tax return experience preferred
  • Skilled drafting, writing, and communication abilities
  • Familiar with practice management and e-filing systems
  • Able to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work independently
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with trust and estate administration
  • Draft estate planning documents, petitions, accountings, and court filings
  • Prepare calculations and spreadsheets for planning matters
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Maintain case files and track deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and third parties
  • Gather financial and tax-related information
  • Conduct research, proofread documents, manage signatures, and handle e-filing
  • Maintain confidentiality and support document routing
