Job Summary and QualificationsAs a staff respiratory therapist, you will demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Respiratory Care with a focus on NICU and Pediatric patient care. Responsibilities include executing assignments in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Opportunities to mentor respiratory students may be available.
Qualifications:- Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Care program recognized by the NBRC.
- Minimum one year of experience in Respiratory Care with expertise in NICU and/or Pediatrics.
- Holding CRT and RRT credentials from NBRC upon hire.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current NRP and PALS certifications are essential.
- ACLS certification is preferred and may be facility-specific.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS - Seasonal staff must meet the following:
- A minimum of 72 hours worked per pay period.
- Four weekend shifts are required every 4-week period.
- Two holiday shifts must be completed during the 32-week seasonal period as defined by management.
- PRN status applies; hours are not guaranteed.
- This program is not open to current HCA Healthcare employees or those who participated last season.
