General Notes

Our goal is to recruit and support staff and students with a wide range of backgrounds, ideas and viewpoints. We are recruiting for work study students to fill these positions. Must be eligible to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

Purpose

Assisting the Office of Admissions International Staff with verifying high school credentials including foreign and domestic high school transcripts for prospective freshman applicants. Student must be able to perform under minimum supervision, possess excellent time management skills, as well as maintain a professional demeanor. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the verification of high school credentials including foreign and domestic high school transcripts for prospective freshman applicants.
  
• Assist with calculation of grades using provided resources, including varying domestic and international grading scales.
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in use of personal computer workstation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Exhibit flexibility, willingness to learn, and adaptability.
• Must be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Texas at Austin.
• Must be eligible for work study.
• Work-Study Verification form (available to print or download on CASH) will be required before acceptance of position.
• Applicants must submit resume & brief cover letter.
• Competitive candidates must be available to work approximately 15 hours per week on a set schedule to complete assignment efficiently.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
