The Role

Genmab seeks an Associate Director of Tax Strategy to enhance and support our expanding tax function, focusing on U.S. tax operations. You will collaborate with various corporate functions across multiple jurisdictions and report directly to the Tax Director in the U.S. This position is based in our Princeton office, requiring on-site presence 60% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all facets of Federal, State, and U.S. international income tax compliance.
• Coordinate U.S. R&D tax credit studies with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
• Oversee the U.S. income tax provision reporting process, including quarterly and year-end calculations.
• Prepare budgetary transfer pricing calculations for interim reporting.
• Evaluate state tax planning opportunities, incentives, and risk management strategies.
• Manage tax audits and communications with U.S. tax authorities.
• Supervise the indirect tax determination and reporting process.
• Collaborate with the global tax team and external advisors on global tax initiatives.
• Establish and maintain robust tax processes and controls.
• Support enhancements in operational tax processes through automation and improved data flows.
• Partner with internal IT and digital data teams for the integration of tax into corporate digital and AI transformation initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or master’s degree in taxation preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in a corporate tax department and a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. tax law.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with inbound multinational tax contexts, ideally in life sciences, biotech, or technology sectors.
• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax, and SAP S4/Hana is a plus.

Salary and Benefits:

For U.S. based candidates, the proposed salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $240,000. Actual salary offers will consider a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligible positions may also offer discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
