Domestic Tax Manager

Kforce's client, a global and well-established, very successful financial services firm in Boston, MA known for a great culture and quality of life, is looking to hire a Domestic Tax Manager to join their office. The client offers excellent benefits and growth potential. This position is scheduled as hybrid, 3 days a week onsite with flexibility.Duties:
- Work with a great team in support of Tax Reporting and even support M&A transactions, provide high-quality tax advice, and satisfy tax accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Prepare and review required Federal tax forms for various financial services subsidiaries within the Insurance industry
- Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Prepare and review income tax provisions in accordance with GAAP and statutory accounting rules (ASC 740 and SSAP 101)
- Stay update on tax laws, regulations and rulings impacting investment entities; provide insights to management
- Prepare detailed tax documentation, including work papers, reports and correspondence with tax authorities
- Work closely with investment professional, accounting teams and external advisors to address tax issues
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
- 5+ years of tax experience from public accounting, Financial Services or the insurance industry
- Skills - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities and proficiency in tax software and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrates knowledge in ASC740 accounting for income taxes, and Statutory accounting SSAP 101
- Self-motivation and critical thinking
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
