Shipping Coordinator

New Tech Global is currently seeking a Shipping Coordinator for a client in Houston, TX.
Overview
- Day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping & communicate with supervisor.
- Correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, status updates, etc.
- Unload, uncrate, or unpack materials and transport to designated inventory location or proper disposal area using forklift or by hand as appropriate.
- Perform computer transactions, including input of material receipts, cycle counts, stock adjustments, etc.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness.
- Perform safe work practices as well as safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
- Complete all required safety training including working at heights.
- Complete all required training for forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift operation.
Qualifications
- 2-3-year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced.
- A Team Player who constructively contributes to a positive environment.
- Ability to communicate information (in small groups) to other employees.
- Must be prepared to work extra overtime hours when required.
- Knowledge of Shipping & Receiving forms & terminology (BOL, Packing Slip, COO, COC, etc.).
- Good legible penmanship.
- Previous forklift experience
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Experience with MS Word / Excel / Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, EPICOR, ORACLE).
