Generation Mid-Level Structural Engineer
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is seeking a Mid Level Structural Engineer to work in our Generation Civil/Structural/Architectural Department in our Boise, ID office.
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
-
Mid-level structural engineer with experience in structural steel and reinforced concrete analysis and engineering for heavy industrial projects
-
Technical knowledge of building codes and material specifications
-
Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, individually and as part of a project team
-
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Required Education/Experience
-
5+ years of structural engineering experience
-
ABET-accredited BS Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
-
EIT obtained
-
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship
Desired Education/Experience
-
PE license obtained at least in one State
-
Knowledge and/or ability to learn 3D modeling software
-
Experience in power generation, transmission, and distribution projects
-
Experience with RISA or STAAD software
-
A strong understanding of structural building codes.

Seismic analysis and design
-
Dynamic foundation analysis
