This regional medical center, located 1 hour from Asheville and 1 hour 15 minutes to Charlotte, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Hematology/Oncology physician.

Opportunity Overview:

  • 98% Outpatient practice
  • 1:3 Call; Hospitalists facilitate admissions
  • All calls are first routed through 24/7 oncology nurse s line
  • Never called into hospital
  • 8a-5p Monday-Thursday, 1/2-day Friday (8a-12p)
  • Caseload 13-15 Patients/day
  • 2 PA s on Staff
  • 2 Radiation Oncologists
  • 2 new linear accelerators
  • 24 infusion chairs
  • Patient navigators & cancer support groups
  • Opportunity for tumor board and cancer committee engagement
  • Network with nationally renowned cancer specialists on complex cases
  • Option for clinical trials
  • Precepting residents available
  • Diagnostics Include:
    • X-ray, CT
    • Ultrasound
    • Mammography
    • Bone Density
    • Nuclear
    • Mobile PET & Mamo
    • MRI & Breast MRI
