Northwell Health's Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to join our team at Mather Hospital . The ideal candidate should be energetic and innovative and enjoy a collaborative, team-based approach. Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will provide inpatient psychiatric consultations and follow-up visits to medical/surgical inpatients. Responsibility includes evaluating and treating patients that have behavioral complications from medical illness, complications from medications, psychiatric disorders that are co-morbid with medical conditions, and medical complications of different psychiatric disorders. Teaching opportunities exist within our resident program. Mather Hospital, a member of Northwell Health, is an accredited 248-bed, non-profit community teaching hospital. Mather is one of the few Long Island hospitals to offer inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for both adolescents and adults.
