Join Leidos' National Security Sector as a dynamic and highly experienced Lead Solution Architect. In this pivotal role, you will develop and capture innovative solutions tailored for our National Intelligence Customers, particularly in the GEOINT domain.

As the Lead Solution Architect, you will leverage your deep understanding of the Intelligence Community landscape to turn complex technical requirements into compelling solutions. You will drive the creation of winning technical proposals, guide solution design, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with both customer needs and company objectives.

Please note: This position allows for telework; however, you must reside within the Washington Metropolitan Area (WMA) for frequent local travel to customer sites, corporate engagements, and to access customer networks.

Your engagement will encompass critical mission areas, including:

  • End-to-end GEOINT Operations: Manage the complete lifecycle of geospatial information, from collection to analysis and dissemination.
  • Advanced GEOINT Data Operations: Modernize data access and enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Core IT System Sustainment: Ensure the reliability and security of comprehensive IT support for critical systems.
  • Geospatial Mission Support: Deliver tailored IT solutions for diverse missions including aeronautical, maritime, and geopolitical analysis.
  • Foundational Geospatial Data Management: Maintain essential core geospatial data.
  • Immersive Training Solutions: Create augmented and virtual reality environments for mission planning and training.
  • Data Discovery Platforms: Optimize geospatial information access and management.
  • Advanced Foundational GEOINT Missions: Propel topographic, aeronautical, and maritime missions through innovative technologies.
  • Secure Access Management: Implement ICAM services and Zero Trust practices for data access and sharing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct the development of technical solutions for complex business captures, including proposals, architecture diagrams, and cost estimations.
  • Analyze requirements and convert customer needs into actionable technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with business development and engineering teams to formulate successful capture strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to capture teams.
  • Deliver technical briefings and demonstrations to customers.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in GEOINT.
  • Contribute to the establishment of internal best practices for solution architecture and capture management.
  • Maintain and expand existing customer relationships while fostering new connections.
  • Mentor junior architects and engineers.
  • Support post-capture activities during the transition to implementation teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and 15+ years of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems; or a Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of experience.
  • Recent experience in solution architecture and technical leadership focused on the Intelligence Community, particularly in the GEOINT and Space domains.
  • Government contracting experience with a profound understanding of NGA, DIA, and other Intelligence Community priorities.
  • Proven success in crafting winning technical solutions for major government contracts.
  • Solid knowledge of government contract regulations and acquisition processes.
  • Expertise in developing IT solutions including cloud architectures and geospatial processing tools.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with SAFE Agile methodologies and GEOINT data processing techniques.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts effectively to a range of stakeholders.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required, with a willingness to maintain TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience with space systems development.
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., cloud architecture, cybersecurity).

Pay Range: $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
