Department Details

The Minot Physical Therapy department operates Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a great work-life balance without weekends, evenings, or holidays. Flexibility in scheduling is available based on PT preferences and staffing needs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist who will assess and treat patients with conditions impacting their mobility, aiming to enhance their quality of life by alleviating pain and improving physical function. Your role in developing customized treatment plans will require creativity, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills to assist our patients in reaching their highest level of physical capability. This role will involve physical tasks, including lifting and transferring patients, and requires the ability to be on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and deliver effective physical therapy programs to help patients/residents recover, improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.
  • Document patient/resident evaluations and progress accurately.
  • Educate patients/residents and their families about treatment plans, schedules, and home exercise programs.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with departmental guidelines and adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze patient/resident progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Follow established guidelines, regulations, and safety procedures throughout the therapy process.

Qualifications

A relevant education level in accordance with state licensure is required. Must possess a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of practice. A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions. Candidates must obtain and maintain department-specific competencies and certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers within the first 60 days of employment.
